android:installLocation=“preferExternal“
I would like to know which one is good.
- Having
android:installLocation="preferExternal"
or - Without mentioning anything on the location
This attribute of manifest tag is used in AndroidManifest.xml file.It is used to set the preference of install location. The attribute has three values:
1.auto
It means that you don’t have a preference of installing location. The system will decide where to install application based on some factors.
2.preferExternal
It indicates that application may be installed in the external storage. But the system does not guarantee that your application will be installed on the external storage. For example,if the external storage is full, the system will install it in the internal storage.
3.internalOnly
It obviously indicates that application want to be installed in the internal storage.
