Huawei Cloud working to fix processor security flaw

A design error on x86 micro-processors, known as “Meltdown”, and “Spectre”, was detected a few days ago (Intel, AMD and ARM manufacturers are concerned).

To fix the processor security flaw, huawei cloud has already start hot fix for the platform, our customer will not aware of that in general. To be safe, you had better back up your important business data. The hot fix can protect the infrastructure, avoid attack from one virtual machine to other machines. To avoid possibility of elevation of privilege and disclosure of sensitive local information, customer also need to upgrade you own OS. There are performce impact after upgrade the patch for OS in some systems, customer need to decide whether to upgrade or not due to your own service business.

Till now, there is no exploit to the cloud, there is no impact for the customer service.Huawei cloud is working together with Intel, Microsoft and vendors of linux closely, will provide the best solution for our customers. Follow-up information will be available through website, email or cellphone.
